Generating Virtual Preview of Target

You can generate a virtual preview of a target based on a source and transformations.

To generate a virtual preview of the target, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Application Menu > Data Catalog > Mapping Manager.
  2. Under the Workspace Mappings pane, click the required map .

    3. The Mapping Specification grid page appears.

  3. Click .

    4. Mapping Preview page appears, displaying the virtual preview of the target based on the source and transformation.

    Note: Mapping preview is currently supported for RDBMS only. Here is the list of transformation supported in Mapping Preview:

    CONCAT, LTRIM, RTRIM, TRIM, CEIL, FLOOR, RPAD, LPAD, ROUND, SQRT, SUBSTR, UPPER, LOWER, TRUNC, SIN, COS, TAN, SINH, TANH, REVERSE, IS_DATE, IS_NUMBER, IS_SPACES, ISNULL, IIF, ISEMPTY, NVL, DECODE.

     

  4. Click to download the mapping preview.

    5. The mapping preview is downloaded in .xlsx format.
